About Preston
I was born in the United States. I struggled academically as a High Schooler there. When I emigrated to New Zealand at 17 years old I learned from some engaging teachers and remarkably went on to be successful at university. Those teachers inspired me.
In turn, I have wanted to inspire others to be successful. It was an honour for me to have recently run into a pharmacist who remembered me from about 10 years ago. I helped this person prepare for their university exams and I was humbled to hear them giving me some credit for their rewarding career. So, like many teachers, I am not in it for the money, rather I am a teacher for the testimonies :)

I recently completed Oxford's CELTA course which transformed the way I conduct my online teaching lessons. My lessons are now much more engaging for students as I draw on their background knowledge and elicit their feedback throughout learning sessions in various and fun ways.
