About Evie
Hi I’m Evie! A recent A-Level graduate preparing to study Classics at university. Having been through it myself, I understand the common difficulties faced when studying (ie. Memorising all the dates). I’m passionate about helping fellow students work smarter with practical tips and tricks that I wish I knew earlier and also to help you get the best possible grades! When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy playing music, going for walks and running - all great ways I use to stay focused & refreshed. I’m excited to support you on your learning journey!

My lessons are tailored to suit each student’s needs - whether that’s working through essay plans, revising key topics like Greek sculpture or the Aeneid, or building confidence with exam-style questions. Having recently studied OCR A-Level Classics myself, I understand how overwhelming the content can feel at times. I create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging deeply with the material. Teaching Methodology: I focus on breaking down and explaining complex ideas into manageable parts, also using examples. We can go through character analysis (Iliad & Aeneid) or Art Analysis, active recall to help with remembering (including small quizzes if you want) and working through past paper questions (including essay structure) to improve exam technique and timing. Typical lesson length: Sessions usually last 60 minutes, but happy to be flexible based on your needs. Who the lessons are for: My lessons are ideal for OCR A-Level students looking for tailored support in Classical Civilisation, with a focus and specialisation in Greek Art (free standing, architecture and vase painting), Literature (Aeneid & Iliad) and Athenian Democracy. Qualifications/Experience: I have a TEFL qualification. I have taught fellow younger students at college for both Psychology and Classics.
