About Kira

I'm an enthusiastic and approachable Maths tutor with a passion for helping students succeed. At 18 years old, I understand the GCSE and A-Level journey well, having recently completed it myself with excellent results. This means I know exactly what you're going through — and how to overcome the challenges you might be facing. I am studying in the University of Leeds (MEng Civil Engineering) and Applied Maths in Kharkiv National University. As someone who has recently been through the system, I bring a fresh perspective and up-to-date knowledge of what works. I combine that with a mature, professional approach and a genuine interest in seeing my students succeed. My goal is not just to help you improve your grades — but to enjoy learning towards your qualification along the way.

About the lesson

As a GCSE Maths tutor, my approach is student-centred and tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner. I focus on building strong foundational understanding, improving confidence, and developing problem-solving skills that are essential for success at GCSE level. Most lessons are 60 minutes long, which allows enough time to introduce new concepts, work through examples, and practise independently. I also offer 90-minute sessions for students preparing for exams who need more in-depth revision. I taught for 2 years GCSE students for the last years in one of the state's grammar schools. I came from Ukraine in the UK in 2023 and decided to prepare to GCSEs but had no idea how the education system works in the UK and on my first mock for Maths foundation got 4, which was awful and I was really upset. However, I found Kira accidentally through my mom's friends and she helped me to get from 4 to 7 just in one year without asking for any payments.
I highly recommend her because she is passionate about the subject and she was a role model for me because just in 1 year she got a high grade in GCSEs. She gave me a supportive environment and clearly explained everything.
