About Joel
My name is Joel, I am eighteen, and have just begun studying Medicine at the University of Manchester. Like you, I am also a student - I'm still learning, and facing similar struggles that you might too. It wasn't too long ago that I was in the same shoes as you: preparing for upcoming exams or feeling completely overwhelmed by how far ahead everyone else seems to be. In a way however, I think that helps us to meet at face-level. I hope that by understanding the difficulties that you might have, we can work together to overcome them like I once did.
The foremost part of learning, is gradually building a visualisation and understanding of a topic. By providing various illustrations and explanations best suited to you, I hope to not only help you understand, but also excel in whichever field might be troubling you.
I achieved A*AA for my A-Levels, and 8x Grade 9's at GCSE. If I could do it, you definitely can too.

GCSE and A-Levels are hard work. The content isn't often easy, and it might be hard to sit down and apply yourself sometimes. However, I hope that I can help combat the same struggles that many other students face.
My core principle towards learning is helping to develop a genuine interest towards a topic - encouraging the brain to develop a more inquisitive and teachable manner. What really helped me when I was studying, was to ensure a firm understanding - perhaps through illustrations or alternative means of explaining - before applying this new knowledge to practice question; this is the template of teaching that I find works best.
Although I have no explicit tutoring experience, I was an A-Level and GCSE student not too long ago. I hope that by being in the same shoes as them, I can relate to the challenges of each student, and use my experience to help overcome them.
Each lesson will typically be 1h long, however, I am open minded in order to meet the needs of the student, as best as possible.
