About Shineyu
My name is Shineyu but I am commonly known by my nickname, 'Shiny'. I am 18 years old and have just finished secondary school and will be heading off to Loughborough University to study Aeronautical Engineering. I am also a keen sportsman and enjoy playing cricket and table tennis, where in cricket I have represented Kent at U15 and U18 level. My passion for maths started from a very young age when I would often solve problems with my parents, and this grew as I enjoyed learning about topics such as calculus and trigonometry. I want to teach so that I can help struggling students to improve their grades and help them achieve their future goals.

My approach to tutoring is that learning should be made as simple as possible, with complex problems broken down into clear logical steps that are easy to understand. Alongside this, repetitive practice of topics is key to nailing areas of difficulty and helping to remember processes and methods for exams. My lessons will be interactive and will provide valuable knowledge to young mathematicians aspiring to pursue the subject at a higher level.
