About Matthew
I'm Matthew, a recent Cambridge graduate - I read Natural Sciences and specialised in Computational Biochemistry.
The reason I want to keep teaching is fairly simple. Watching my first student's confidence grow over the year was easily the best part of the job. I like guiding someone to an answer and watching it click for them.
Outside of teaching I love swimming outdoors (UK weather permitting), solving puzzles, and watching anime!

My lessons mainly consist of supervising a student answering exam-style questions while I keep an eye out for gaps in knowledge or mistakes in technique. If a student is particularly struggling with a topic, I'll pivot into teaching.
I start each session with a warm-up and end with reflections and feedback both ways, so you always get a say in how the lessons run.
The last student I taught this way went from a predicted C to a predicted A over the year, and won both "Most Improved" and "Best at Mathematics" at their school.
I teach Maths, Biology and Chemistry (A* in all three at A-level), with GCSE and A-level both covered. Most of my tutoring experience is in A-level Maths.
