About Clark

I am an A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics student, predicted A* grades in both subjects, with a strong passion for maths and for helping others understand it. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy breaking down challenging concepts and seeing students grow in confidence as things start to make sense. Having recently completed GCSE Maths myself, I have a clear understanding of the syllabus, exam style, and common difficulties students face, which allows me to explain topics in a relatable and effective way. My approach to tutoring is student-centred and focused on building confidence alongside solid mathematical foundations. I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs, explaining concepts clearly and step by step using worked examples and guided practice. I place emphasis on problem-solving and exam technique, including how to structure answers, show full working, and approach GCSE-style questions efficiently. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, allowing time to review content, practise questions, and address misunderstandings. My lessons are suitable for GCSE students of all abilities, including Foundation and Higher tier learners, those aiming to build confidence or secure a pass, and students working towards higher grades or preparing for mocks and final exams.
