About Joe

Hi! I'm a 17-year-old based in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham who has just completed my A-level Maths with a predicted grade of an A. I am going on to study Aerospace Engineering at the University of Brighton, which demonstrates my strong passion and ability in Maths and Science. I offer friendly, patient and affordable GCSE Maths tutoring both online via Zoom and in person in the Sutton Coldfield area. Having recently sat my own exams, I know exactly what the mark schemes look for and the common mistakes to avoid. I also hold a swim teaching qualification, which shows my ability to explain things clearly and work with young people in a professional setting. I aim to build students' confidence as well as their grades!

About the lesson

I have just completed A-level Maths with a predicted grade of an A, and will be going on to study Aerospace Engineering at the University of Brighton — a subject that requires exceptional mathematical ability. This gives me a strong and up-to-date knowledge of the GCSE curriculum at both Foundation and Higher tier, and I am familiar with current exam board styles and techniques. Alongside this, I am a qualified swim teacher, where I have experience planning sessions, breaking down skills into simple steps, and working with children and young people of varying abilities. Both roles have developed my ability to communicate clearly, stay patient, and adapt my teaching to suit each individual.
