About Charlie

I have been a teacher for eighteen years now, and love it more than ever. I have a real passion for psychology, having studied it for more than half my life, and I want to help others engage with and enjoy it as much as I do. Students should know I am a subject specialist - still fairly rare for Psychology, I head a highly successful department at a top local grammar school, and I am a senior examiner for AQA, meaning I can offer insight into what your examiners will be looking for. I am also an experienced GCSE Sociology teacher and tutor, who is a Lead Examiner for AQA

About the lesson

I am a knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher who teaches A Level Psychology exclusively - a confirmed subject expert who has been teaching since 2007, tutoring since 2008 and exam marking since 2009. I strive to make lessons fun and engaging, and will always work at your pace and level, with a range of methods and targets to suit your individual needs. Having just finished a two year cycle of tutoring four students (two of whom described me as 'the best teacher they have ever had') I am seeking more students who are keen to excel in this exciting and fascinating subject!

Charlie tutored my daughter for A level psychology and in her words was one of the best teachers she has ever had. I cannot recommend Charlie enough. Without his assistance my daughter would never have been able to go into her exams with confidence. He goes above and beyond with checking work outside tutor times and providing feedback. His knowledge on the subject far exceeds her teacher at school. Would highly recommend.

Charlie has tutored my daughter through her A-levels for the past two years. He is an absolutely amazing teacher. My daughter has significant Autism needs requiring patience, care and a positive attitude. Charlie was just brilliant with her. Engaging, fun, understanding, patient and the most lovely person to have in our house every week. He made the sessions fun and something she looked forward too. Cannot recommend this tutor enough.
