The typical lesson plan would to be an interactive explanation through videos, anecdotes or whiteboard work of whatever topic that the student is struggling on and afterwards go through a range of multiple choice and exam style questions to consolidate the understanding. This is a technique that I’ve found extremely useful not only for myself but for the other students that I’ve tutored. Time permitting, the end of the lesson will be a time for the student to present me with any homework questions that they are struggling with.
