While I don't have formal teaching qualifications, my training is based of my learning throughout primary, intermediate, and high school. I have confidently helped my little brother with his math homework and he is in year 7.
I prioritize building a strong foundation in basic math concepts, ensuring students understand the "why" behind each method. I often use visual strategies, like interactive activities. I try to connect math to real-life situations to make the subject more fun and relatable. I emphasize growth and improvement, celebrating progress and encouraging students to see challenges as opportunities to learn rather than obstacles. When appropriate, I incorporate educational games to make learner more fun and engaging especially for younger students.
