About Abi
Hello! My name is Abi and I am a Year 13 A-Level student currently studying Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, and AS Philosophy. I achieved strong GCSE results ((concealed information)) and my most recent A-Level mock grades were A*AB. I have received offers from all five of my university choices, including three Russell Group institutions and Imperial College London (which has a 12% acceptance rate). I am DBS checked and have experience as a student teaching assistant. I myself am currently waiting for my A-Level results and hoping to study Biological Sciences at university next year and I hope I can transfer some of my love for learning as well as the skills and information needed for a student to thrive.

I have prior experience volunteering as a tutor for small groups of 12–14-year-old students in Maths and English, many of whom had learning difficulties. As someone with ASD, I have a personal understanding of neurodivergence and often find I’m able to explain concepts in ways that are more accessible to students with similar learning profiles. I specialise in tutoring Key Stage 3 and below, although I am also confident teaching GCSE Foundation Tier Maths and Science. Additionally, I offer mentoring for university applications and personal statements, drawing on my own successful experience applying to competitive institutions. Although I am at the beginning of my tutoring career, my rates reflect this. I believe my current involvement in the public education system gives me a unique and empathetic perspective that allows me to connect with students and support them effectively in their learning, tailoring lesson plans to their individual needs and helping them seek reputable sources to further their own studies independently!
