About Thomas
I am a current A level student, about to sit my exams. I have been helping to teach a GCSE maths class at my school, and I have become fond of teaching in that time. I find that if you can't explain something, then you don't truly understand it yourself. So I want to teach others, both to build my understanding of the subjects I love, and to be able to help those who might need more time and explanation in order to grasp concepts.

These lessons are designed for GCSE and A level students looking to build a solid foundation in chemistry and mathematics. The lessons can range anywhere from 45 mins to 2 hrs, and is ultimately at the discretion of the student. I believe that every student learns at varying paces, and that is reflected in the lessons. To begin with, we will sit down together and review the current level of knowledge, identifying weaker and stronger areas. Then we can relearn the information that may not have been retained in school, and practise answering questions on that topic, with my help along the way. I currently, and for the past 6 months, volunteer at my school to help teach in a GCSE class, and so I have experience teaching. I am predicted A* in both maths and chemistry, and achieved 100% and 92% respectively in a recent A level mock.
