i am an a level student currently in year 12 doing maths, biology and psychology. i'm taking part of maths mentoring sessions for year 11s that will do their gcse's next year in my school, so i have some experience with tutoring.

i believe that my teaching method is pretty simple and straightforward. I usually would start the lesson by giving some questions from different topics so that I can see the student's weaknesses. also, I would usually work through a booklet with a variety of exam questions from different topics required in the maths gcse specification and what I do is I request the student to have a go at a question and if the student is struggling I would go through the steps and explain how to solve the question.
