About Isaac

I am a firm believer that anyone can learn to do anything given the right guidance and support!

During the last 13 years I have had a varied career working in general labourer, tourism, food service, retail, and as an instructor, to name a few. Throughout 12 of those years I have been a professional actor and performer (No, I'm not Shia LaBeouf in disguise, but you may still have seen me on TV). The common thread I noticed between every sector I've worked in was, COMMUNICATION. Those who could most effectively communicate ideas amongst their colleagues were the most efficient, generated the most innovation, and saw the most growth in the careers.

I witnessed on multiple occasions, technically brilliant people, completely lose a room because they did not know how to use their voice, body language, or listening skills to be effective public speakers. The topic they were speaking about was objectively interesting and important, but people left the presentation with zero value added to their lives. Don't let this be you!

Using my knowledge gathered from over a decade of acting, performing, and teaching I will teach you:
- Vocal Strengthening and Breathing techiniques
- Body language and non verbal communication
- Active Listening
- Nervousness reduction strategies

Whether you are in university, a working professional, or just want to gain some confidence when advocating for yourself, there is never a wrong time to learn the foundational skills of Communication and Public Speaking!

About the lesson

Public Speaking is often listed in the 10 most common fears yet it is one of the most foundational skills to achieve success, happiness, and deeply connected relationships. The common misconception is that Public Speaking is separate from the root skill:

Powerful and Effective Communication!

We do it every day with every person we meet, YET we never get taught the fundamentals of how to do it effectively and confidently.

You may be the most experienced, proficient, knowledgable individual in the room but if you cannot communicate that expertise effectively and confidently, no one will ever know. The cold hard truth is that those who master the skill of communication and public speaking will go further faster than those who do not.

But I have fantastic news. IT IS A SKILL! just like swimming, painting, or carpentry, Public Speaking and Effective Communication can be learned and developed with support and practice.

I will use my 12 years of professional experience as an actor and performer, combined with my experience as a professional pubic speaker, facilitator, and instructor to give you a set of skills to make you a powerful communicator and engaging public speaker.

Common outcomes include:
- Being taken more seriously by colleagues, friends, family, and the people you interact with daily
- Higher levels of confidence in oneself!
- Greater satisfaction in relationships
- A deeper understanding of the use of voice and body language

Private sessions allow us to work on your specific obstacles and needs or if you have a specific presentation you are prepping for.

Group sessions allow you to work along side a group of like minded individuals to encourage and support one another along your communication and public speaking journey.

Currently I have two Group classes available both are offered as a once a week:
The Power of Breath - learning how proper breath support will transform your vocal quality.
Engaging the Listener - Using tools actors employ to create interesting characters you will learn how to bring your best characteristics to the forefront while communicating.
