My teaching philosophy is creating a fun and engaging experience for my students. I plan my curricula on student interest and am always happy to adjust my teaching to make it work for everyone. I believe that the art-making process is just as, if not more, important than the final result. If we can feel safe to make mistakes and learn from them, learning will not only be deeper but also with greater understanding.
I am an art teacher with experience teaching students ages 1 to adult in a variety of mediums. I have taught one on one and classes of 25 students. I started teaching High school students and Elementary students seven years ago. Currently, I work as a teaching artist where I design and teach classes for adults and work as an art teacher at an Elementary school.
