I believe that a good writer, above all else, is someone who can construct clear and concise sentences in a straightforward and direct manner. I also believe that the only way to learn something is to do it yourself, a lot. I therefore encourage active and engaged methods of learning, and a lot of practice.
I am an attorney based out of Chicago, Illinois, currently employed by Chicago Advocate Legal, a not-for-profit law firm. I graduated from Carleton College in Minnesota, cum laude, where I majored in American Studies. I then attended John Marshall Law School, where I was a Dean's list student and recipient of a Health Law Certificate. I have extensive writing experience, which I obtained through Carleton's intensive writing programs, John Marshall's top ranked legal writing program, and most recently as a practicing litigator.
