About Me – Andie Hi! I’m Andie, a licensed educator with over 8 years of experience helping students succeed in mathematics. I earned my degree from Indiana University and have had the privilege of working with students across all grade levels—from elementary school through high school seniors. My Approach to Tutoring Math can be challenging, but with the right support, every student can learn to master it. I take a student-centered, supportive approach to teaching, focusing on building confidence and deep understanding. My sessions are structured yet flexible, adapting to each student’s learning style and goals. I specialize in topics ranging from basic arithmetic and pre-algebra to algebra, geometry, precalculus, and SAT/ACT prep. A Bit More About Me When I’m not teaching or tutoring, you can usually find me outside—hiking, playing sports, or just enjoying fresh air. I’m a big sports fan, both as a player and a spectator, and I love how athletics teach discipline, strategy, and teamwork—skills that also apply to learning. A Typical Lesson Each session begins with a quick review of previous material or homework, followed by targeted instruction on current topics. I incorporate practice problems, interactive discussion, and tips for test-taking or homework efficiency. We close with a brief recap and a plan for what to work on next.
