Methodology
I have had a passion to teach since my 4th grade teacher had such a positive impact on my life. I have always loved to learn and want to share this with others. I also have a strong desire to help children learn and grow in a positive and meaningful way. I believe all students can learn but have different learning styles and abilities. It is my goal to share my teaching in a meaningful way for all students to understand. Also with my education in Science and many years of experience in working in healthcare laboratories, I believe I can provide a very in depth and practical understanding of Science to children. I hope to also inspire students to be kind to others, become life long learners, and to always believe in themselves.
Background
I have a B.S. degree in Biology, and Masters degree in Health Care Administration. I have a B.S. degree in Medical Technology and am ASCP certified. I also have a teaching license in Elementary Education (K-6). I have worked for over 15 years as a Medical Technologist and Supervisor in predominately Microbiology, Hematology and Chemistry medical labs. I also have over 5 years experience teaching in classrooms including a year teaching as a Science teacher for grades K-5.
