About Glenda
I have been teaching for 17 years in the New York City public schools. I have also taught literacy in several after school programs including Reading Partners where I teach one-on-one.
I have taught up to 25 students at one time and provided small group instruction as well as one-on-one instruction.

I have been working in the New York City public school system as a certified dual licensed teacher in grades K-2. My strong areas are providing reading incentives to motivate and encourage students to develop a love for reading. I adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs. I am sensitive to the needs of young children and aim to provide positive relationships to build confidence in them.
