About Sam
I graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a minor in history. From there I gained experience working with 4th grade and Kindergarten. I have a knack for teaching students great reading skills but also love to teach math and social studies. I have an upbeat attitude about learning and love to connect what I am teaching to what the student likes.

I teach just how I would teach in the classroom, just individualized to what the student needs. Think of it like extra time with the teacher on what they are already learning in school. I ask about problem areas, strengths, content from school, etc and build a lesson plan around that. I have experience with CPS curriculum and can use that in tutoring sessions.

I highly recommend Sam as a tutor!
She is gifted in patiently and effectively teaching children. My daughter showed great improvement quickly, and always looked forward to her sessions with Sam! I will definitely work with Sam again for all of my children.View more recommendations
