As an AP English and Early College English teacher, I believe every student can become a stronger reader, writer, and critical thinker with the right guidance and support. My lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, whether they need help improving grades, preparing for exams, strengthening academic writing, or developing creative writing skills.
My teaching approach is structured, engaging, and student-centered. I begin by assessing each student’s strengths and areas for growth, then create lessons that build confidence while developing essential English skills. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and provide clear explanations, guided practice, and constructive feedback throughout each session.
A typical lesson may include reviewing previous material, introducing a new concept, modeling the skill, practicing together, and ending with independent application and targeted feedback. Students receive practical strategies they can continue using in the classroom and on future assignments.
I specialize in essay writing, literary analysis, grammar, reading comprehension, research writing, and playwriting.
