About Rhiannon
Hi! I'm Rhiannon. A High School Counselor, educator, mom, ice-cream lover, who truly loves helping kids and young adults feel confident and supported both in and out of the school day.
I've spent over 8 years working with Elementary, Middle and High School Students. I have worked with them in both the counseling setting and in special education settings. Throughout my career I've helped students not only improve academically, but also build important life skills like confidence, emotional regulation and organization.
I know that everyone learns differently and I pride myself on creating a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable being themselves. Whether a student is struggling with schoolwork, feeling overwhelmed or just needs a little extra support, I meet them where they are and help them grow at their own pace.
As a mom, I also understand how important it is to find someone you trust to support your child. I communicate openly with families and always aim to make learning a positive and stress-free experience.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and exploring fun local shops and businesses.
I'd love the opportunity to support your child and help them feel successful both in and out of the classroom.

I have experience working with children and teens of all ages, both in a counselor and special education setting.
I specialize in helping students build confidence, improve study skills, time-management, social skills and overall mental health.
I work with students who may need extra support with organization, focus, and managing school-related stress.
My approach is patient, supportive, and personalized to each student's need. I work hard to build a positive environment and rapport with all students. I want students to feel comfortable and confident.
A typical lesson with me depends on the need of the student. This could look like working on study skills. Finding an interest. Learning the benefits of studying. Learning how to take notes that work for you, and finding time in the day to make the knowledge actually "stick."
Everyone learns, understands and sees things differently. Both academically and socially. Finding what works best for each student individually, and not as a whole I believe, is the best way to gain the confidence and success.
