About Nina
Having been raised in the dance studio environment, I was learning how to both dance and teach dance for the majority of my upbringing. Dancing and teaching are as natural to me as breathing. I am an energetic, optimistic, and confidence-inducing teacher and friend, and I hope that through my skills I can help other dancers to enjoy the innumerable benefits of a dance education.

I offer intimate dance instruction focused on the connections of the body between different movements & the development of ease with complex movements. We will focus on the way one action/move impacts the body's availability to perform related or follow-up actions & moves, allowing for a precision of technique that is highly valued by dance teachers and competition judges.
If I were helping a 10 year old student develop their self-confidence in ballet styles, we would focus on the performative aspect of ballet, thus encouraging the student to value the technical nuances involved in ballet, which is often seen as a monotonous style for younger age groups. We would practice both at and away from the bar (or wall, depending on the location) to encourage balance and focus in different settings.
I grew up dancing my entire life. I danced for 16 years in the dance studio my mom founded in my small town. I competed in regional and national dance competitions for 10 of those 16 years in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop, musical theater, and pointe. I also taught dance classes within the studio for 5 years to classes of 4-60 students, ages 2-18.
I can provide dance tutoring to dancers of any level in nearly any style, including tumbling.
