I am a tinkerer at heart, and a lifelong student engineer in trade. I love anything and everything electronic. As a result, I have experience in a broad range of fields such as: computer aided design with fusion360, circuit prototyping, circuit board design, sensor and microcontroller design (think pi pico, esp32, arduino and raspberry pi), custom sensor development (Hydrogen and Oxygen sensors), bus communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART) wifi sensor development (IoT and TCP/UDP serial communications), Full laboratory automation, prototype product design from the ground up including mechanical, circuits and software, C, C++, python, micropython, circuitpython, GUI design using tkinter, custom tkinter, kivy, and kivymd, app design for cross platform compatibility (windows, linux, mac, android and iphone) and much much more!
My passion has blessed me with my current role as lead systems engineer for my colleges NASA funded research project. I lead the team in the development of our penetrolyzer device that extracts hydrogen and oxygen from Martian Soil. Our goal is to see this device outperform the current state of the art, the Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment (MOXIE).
In addition to this I've also worked with the Department of Energy at Stanford's Linear Accelerator Center. I was fortunate to contribute to particle physics based research by developing a custom testing solution for a laser system that is used to power sensors that operate in the vicinity of high voltage and strong magnetic fields. The system I developed allows for quantification of the input and output power of the laser used to transmit power through non conductive fiber optic cables. I utilized commercial off the shelf equipment to accomplish this, and developed a custom circuit board to couple a raspberry pi pico with the appropriate sensor chips. I then developed software to visualize and log the sensor data: Input Voltage, Input Current, Input Wattage, Output Voltage, Output Current, Output Wattage, Laser Temperature, Optical Power Converter Temperature.
If you need help, tutoring or would like something designed, feel free to reach out to me. I'm always open for work!
