About Lincoln
My name is Lincoln Jordan, and I learned guitar in my twenties — late enough to know how frustrating it feels when your fingers won't cooperate and your chords sound buzzy. I almost quit three times. But I kept going, and now I've been teaching for 5 years. I teach the way I wish I'd been taught: patiently, simply, and without judgment. My students are mostly adult beginners who always wanted to learn but never found the right teacher, and returning players who learned a few chords years ago and forgot everything. My students trust me because I'm honest about my own struggles and I never make anyone feel stupid for asking questions. I've helped shy beginners play their first song for a friend, frustrated strummers finally learn fingerpicking, and absolute beginners realize they're better than they thought. With me, you won't become a lead guitarist overnight. But you will learn to play songs you love — and actually enjoy practicing.

Hi, I'm Lincoln Jordan. I've taught guitar for 5 years, and I specialize in adult beginners and casual players who just want to strum and sing. If you've had a guitar sitting in the corner for years because learning felt too hard, I'll get you playing. We start with the basics: how to hold the guitar, how to tune it, and three easy chords — G, C, D. You'll leave your first lesson strumming along to a real song. From there, we add more chords, smoother changes, and different strumming patterns. I teach fingerpicking for folk songs, basic music theory only as it helps you play, and how to sing while you play without falling apart. I don't use thick method books or overwhelm you with scales. We learn through songs — the music you actually listen to, whether that's The Beatles, Johnny Cash, or modern folk. My lessons are relaxed and patient. You set the pace. I just make sure you're moving forward.
