  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

My interest in the field of chemistry began during my undergraduate studies at Al-Zahra University, where I pursued a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from 2007 to 2011. I was fascinated by how chemistry explains the fundamental workings of the world around us, from molecular interactions to large-scale industrial processes. This curiosity deepened as I explored advanced topics and gained hands-on experience in laboratory work.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, my passion for chemistry continued to grow. My M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry at Sharif University of Technology (2011-2013) allowed me to delve deeper into precise chemical analyses, while my subsequent M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Alberta (2016-2019) focused on synthesis and material properties. This combination of education and practical work in labs and industries has solidified my dedication to chemistry, as I see it as a field that merges problem-solving, creativity, and innovation to improve lives and industries.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

What makes me passionate about chemistry is its profound ability to bridge theory and application in a way that impacts daily life. From understanding the molecular basis of reactions to developing products that meet societal needs, chemistry offers endless opportunities to solve real-world problems.

Throughout my career, whether working on skincare formulations, testing detergents, ensuring pharmaceutical quality, or teaching students complex concepts, I've seen firsthand how chemistry shapes industries and improves lives. This dynamic nature, combined with the constant challenge to innovate and refine processes, fuels my enthusiasm for the field.

Additionally, teaching and mentoring students have deepened my passion, as it allows me to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of chemistry and its transformative power. Being part of a field that continuously evolves and contributes to scientific advancement keeps me motivated and engaged.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

What I love most about tutoring is the opportunity to make a real difference in students' learning journeys. Chemistry can often seem intimidating, but I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more relatable ideas that spark understanding and confidence. Seeing students overcome challenges and achieve their goals-whether it's acing exams, grasping a tough topic, or developing a passion for the subject-is incredibly rewarding.

What makes me a "Superprof" is my blend of academic expertise and teaching experience. With advanced degrees in Analytical and Organic Chemistry, years of research, and hands-on industry experience, I bring depth to my lessons. I've honed my teaching skills through roles like tutoring high school students in Canada and Iran and serving as a Teaching Assistant at Sharif University of Technology and University of Alberta.

I tailor my lessons to each student's needs, focusing on their strengths and addressing their challenges. My approach combines clear explanations, interactive methods, and problem-solving practice, fostering critical thinking and confidence. I'm committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to excel.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

Yes, I've had several role models throughout my academic journey, but one stands out significantly-a professor during my M.Sc. at Sharif University of Technology. Their teaching style was a perfect blend of rigor and encouragement, challenging me to think critically while fostering a genuine love for learning. They had a unique ability to connect theoretical knowledge to practical applications, which profoundly influenced how I approach chemistry today.

What inspired me most was their passion for mentoring students, their dedication to research, and their ability to make even the most complex topics engaging and approachable. This experience motivated me to pursue teaching alongside my professional career, aiming to inspire others in the same way.

Their guidance helped me see the value of persistence, curiosity, and collaboration, traits I strive to embody in my work and pass on to my students. Their example continues to remind me of the lasting impact a great teacher can have on someone's life.
  • What are your keys to success?

My keys to success are rooted in a combination of values, skills, and habits that I've cultivated throughout my academic and professional journey:

Continuous Learning: Chemistry is an ever-evolving field, and staying curious and committed to learning keeps me ahead. From pursuing advanced degrees to staying updated on industry trends, I prioritize personal and professional growth.

Adaptability: Working in diverse roles-academia, pharmaceuticals, quality control, and teaching-has taught me the importance of flexibility and being open to new challenges and opportunities.

Strong Work Ethic: Whether conducting research, solving technical problems, or teaching, I approach every task with dedication, thoroughness, and a focus on delivering quality results.

Effective Communication: My ability to explain complex concepts clearly, whether to students or colleagues, has been instrumental in my teaching and collaborative work environments.

Time Management and Organization: Balancing responsibilities across multiple roles has honed my ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain efficiency without compromising quality.

Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Chemistry often requires tackling intricate challenges. I thrive on analyzing problems, thinking critically, and finding innovative solutions, whether in a lab, classroom, or industry setting.

Passion for Chemistry: Ultimately, my enthusiasm for the subject drives my motivation, whether it's contributing to research, mentoring students, or ensuring quality in products that impact lives.

These keys have not only helped me achieve success but also enabled me to inspire others and contribute meaningfully to every role I take on.
