About Latia
I am a currently a behavior interventionist helping children who are nonverbal learn language and appropriate ways to express feelings, needs, and wants, verbally. My background is in Deaf studies and language acquisition for both children and adults.
Bachelor’s degree earned from
San Diego State University in Liberal Arts & Sciences Linguistics and certified to teach English as a second/foreign language.

My teaching method is immersive and fun. The target language, English will be spoken all of the time to give the most opportunities to pick up on native speech and nuanced vocabulary. The best way to learn is through natural engagement with the language which will incorporate everyday conversations, games that encourage speech and enhance English receptive skills.
