Jake is my French tutor and he is excellent! I tried taking French in High school, but nothing stuck for me. I'm Mexican, so I'm fluent in Spanish, and Jake is able to make connections about the similarities between French and Spanish to help me understand the lesson and remember the concepts better.

Saqué un curso de portugués y Jake me enseñó con lecciones en español. Tengo un horario inestable y Jake fue muy comprensivo y paciente. Siempre había querido poder hablar con mis amigos brasileños en portugués. El idioma es tan similar, pero no conseguía entender todo y mucho menos comunicarme, pero después de una sola lección todo empezó a tener sentido y antes de darme cuenta, estaba por fin hablando fluidamente!

I took a Portuguese course and Jake taught me with lessons in Spanish. I have an unstable schedule and Jake was very understanding and patient. I had always wanted to be able to speak with my Brazilian friends in Portuguese. The language is so similar, but I couldn't understand everything, much less communicate, but after just one lesson everything started to make sense and before I knew it, I was finally speaking fluently!

Jake is a previous employee of mine who helped tutor other members of the team with Spanish and Portuguese, as we needed more bilingual competency for our customers. He is very professional and skilled and showed great results! He knows how to keep people tuned and entertained and takes the time to create catered lesson plans for each person, instead of using cookie cutter rubrics and worksheets. He is kind and patient and fun as well!
