About Yuli

I am a current Linguistics MSc student with a comprehensive background in copywriting and ghost-writing. I believe that writing, whether that is creative writing for fun, academic writing for university, or even practice for the 11+ exam; is a teachable skill rather than a born talent. Not only is writing a fun gateway into your own thinking process and creativity, it is also an essential skill in navigating everyday life, and potentially a key factor in many sectors of employment. Through the focus of my academic studies, personal passions, and work background, I have developed a deep-rooted passion for writing as a broad and interconnected discipline. I offer tailored lessons that utilise this passion to aid in developing a set of skills geared towards your individual wants and needs.

About the lesson

Through an initial free meeting, we would identify your current goals in relation to writing, which can range from needing help with your undergraduate academic essays, preparation for an 11+ exam with a reading and writing component, looking to expand creative writing skills for a prospective career in the industry, or even just for fun. From there I come up with a teaching plan that is adjusted based on your current skill level, desired outcomes, and any learning preference you may have. The lessons are carried out over webcam, and include both practical and theory based content that then feeds into take-home practices. I provide tailored, detailed feedback, use a range of examples, and incorporate academic approaches to writing alongside a general fun learning atmosphere.

Creative writing boasts many transferable skills; from critical thinking, to problem solving, to communication, and the lessons can be further tailored to suit any additional skills needed for a set of exams, an educational improvement area, or likewise.

I can work with a wide range of ages, ranging from early education to adult learners. Feel free to reach out to me for any questions you may have.
