About Langston
I’m an autodidactic linguist as well as an anthropologist and theologian. I have studied Jewish culture and languages for decades and have knowledge of liturgical and modern Hebrew as well. Linguistically students will learn the Western Germanic, Slavic, and Semitic roots of Yiddish as well as learning about linguistic phenomena such as mutual intelligibility.

Have a lifelong interest in both contemporary and ancient Jewish history and culture. Gained proficiency in spoken Yiddish through self-study and have knowledge in grammar and syntax. Lessons will also teach language history and the intersections between Western Germanic languages and Semitic languages in Yiddish. Students will learn the differences between various dialects and will learn about the extant speaking Yiddish communities in the world.
