About Elliott
Hi! My name is Elliott and I am in my 3rd and final year at Cambridge. I study Linguistics - which sounds weird - but it can be simply understood as the science of language. I am currently really interested in computational linguistics - stuff like chat bots and AI - which is very exciting at the moment.
I have been tutoring since 2017 first at a company called Explore Learning and then privately via zoom during the pandemic. I have the most experience in teaching Maths, Chemistry and Biology at GCSE (I have great old notes and resources on these I can share), but I am also confident in teaching A level Psychology and Spanish.
Being at Cambridge has been fun but also very tough. I have had to learn how to learn quickly and effectively and I can teach you how to do this too!

All teaching begins with a discussion and assessment of where the student is at and where they want to be.
From there each class will have a topic(s) explained via presentation, examples and techniques. Questions are encouraged!
Then problem sheets are worked through with my guidance.
Extra problem sheets are given to complete before the next class, which I can mark and give feedback on before the next class.
The next class will address any problems or questions from the previous one, and - if you and I both feel the topic is understood to a good enough level I will give you a test.
At the end of each class there is time for mentoring. Strategies for revision and planning can be discussed keeping in mind your goals and targets.
