When it comes to teaching guitar i typically start off by figuring out how much the student has already progressed on their own. Then i teach them how to tune (if they dont already know how) then i teach them the basics of tablature and some simple warmups and exercises to increase the students accuracy and dexterity before moving onto the more advanced lessons.
I'ma musician, ive been playing guitar and bass in bands and ghost-writing for 12 years. Ive been teaching 1-1 guitar lessons for about a year. In 8th grade i became an an assistant for my schools band teacher and spent the year teaching a guitar class of over 30 students every day.
I've worked with Donnie several times over the last few months. He's been nothing but knowledgeable, skilled, and always open to listening to me talk about my musical goals and tune his teachings accordingly. He's been passionately playing for the better part of a decade, and it shows in his skill, knowledge, and extensive collection of completed projects. Donnie is a great fit for both guitar and bass, and the wide range of music he's interested in allows him to adapt to almost any student. Absolutely recommend him as a teacher!
Donnie is a very experienced bassist and really knows what he is doing!
