About Henry
I have been teaching AMEB/TCL Grades and casual students for nearly a decade, guiding them to the highest diploma level. I travel to most areas around Sydney or students can learn on my grand piano at my home studio.
I'm currently teaching nearly 40 students from beginner to advanced.
I've been playing and performing for over 20 years and hold the Licentiate Level Diploma (LTCL/LMusA). I have continued to refine my skills under teachers who trained in European tradition, including one who studied under the legendary pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli. I'm also a graduate of Sydney Grammar and UNSW.
I am accredited with a Working With Children Certification.

I prepare students from:
Beginner/Casual -> Grade 8 -> Certificate -> AMUSA -> LMUSA
My teaching specialises in developing sight-reading, finger independence and the ability to perform technical work without fatigue. You will also learn how to interpret everything on the sheet music and various advanced practice methods.
Every lesson, students will also enjoy an easy-to-follow structured practice plan.
I'm very patient and am all about learning in a stress-free environment.
Students will also learn traditional performance etiquette for recitals and concerts.

Grade 8 / Certificate (CMus): $105/hr
AMusA / ATCL / ARSM: $120/hr
LMusA / LTCL / LRSM: $140/hr
Advanced casual: $100/hr
If I'm travelling to you:
A flat $5 travel fee.
Note about intermediate/advanced casual:
Intermediate or advanced will be determined based on your overall playing ability, not the repertoire.
Cancellation Policy:
You may reschedule or cancel your lesson at no cost with at least 24-hours notice. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full lesson. In the unlikely event that I need to cancel the lesson, you will not be charged.
