About Brett

I have an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois and have an MBA from Duke, with over 20 years in advanced analytics.
I have also helped many students overcome hurdles understanding math, science, and standardized tests in a professional tutoring environment.
Perhaps most importantly, I have a son who is a freshman in college, so I've been on the parent-side and I understand your experience.

About the lesson

After 20+ years in the corporate world of market research and analytics, I’m "returning to my roots" in STEM to help local students master the SAT, ACT, and high school math/science.
When I was a student at UIUC (Engineering) and later at Duke (MBA), I realized that math isn't about being "smart"—it’s about having a repeatable system. I used that system to get near-perfect ACT scores and a 710 GMAT, and now I’m teaching it to the next generation.
I specialize in students who:
1. Are "stuck" at a score plateau on the ACT or SAT.
2. Understand the concepts but make "careless" errors under pressure.
3. Need a boost in Algebra, Geometry, or Physics before hitting AP-level courses.
I provide a professional, analytical approach that goes far beyond standard homework help. I provide parents with a monthly "Progress Heatmap" so you can see the ROI on your student’s hard work.
