About Joan
I am currently an incoming third year BA History student at King's College London. Being a patient and detail-oriented person when it comes to tutoring students, I ensure that my lessons are always in excellent condition and done to a high standard. I'm also not a scary person (far from it, honestly) so you don't have to worry about approaching me or asking me any questions.

I provide lessons to those struggling to understand the concept and skills behind GCSE English Language, A-level History and English Literature, and how to achieve the good grades needed for sixth form and/or higher level. I am enthusiastic but also pragmatic in the way I approach lessons and workloads. Students will be given deadlines to follow and manageable workloads to further practice and hone in on their skills. Constructive feedback would then be given to students in which they can further improve themselves and showcase their best skills. Should students have any issues or problems (personal or otherwise), I will adjust our personalised schedule accordingly to ease their burdens.
Besides that, I can also teach Mandarin Chinese to beginners without any prior knowledge of the language. I was once 7 years old plunged into a predominantly mandarin-speaking school so I understand how picking up a new language may be difficult!
