About Robert
I started my musical journey around the age of 6 with piano. Around 10 I started playing guitar through classes at a Chicago Park led by a teacher hired by Ravinia. I started with nylon string acoustic, then steel string, then electric guitar. As the years went by, I continued to progress in my ability, taught myself violin and bass, have played in multiple bands, composed music, and even performed at Riot Fest. Music is the best outlet, and I attribute my drive and discipline in life to the skills I built practicing my guitar every day since I was a kid. I am currently 28 years old, and work full time as a cancer researcher, but continue to make time to play every single day. Guitar is life!

I have an interest in all genres of music and have the ability to learn and teach anything. I desire to help students learn the songs they want to learn and supplement with necessary techniques to support. I believe this method helps students remain motivated and to practice outside of lessons, as well as create tangible measurements of growth and progress.
