About Cecil

My many years of private tutoring led to my full-time employment with the first giant of online ESL, DaDa, in 2018. I soon added the 4-to-1 classroom fun of SayABC, a subsidiary of the number one company in ESL, VIPKid. I was inspired to join GoGoKid as well, with its splendid animations and interactive features. My schedule exploded with talented young kids; I taught as many as 75 classes during the pandemic lockdown, which began Chinese New Year, 2020. I keep contact with as many of my beloved family friends as possible; my office has many gifts from Chinese families. I've now taught over 5600 classes, including the Montessori-style learning of LeoTech every Friday night. Helping kids adapt and expanding their knowledge is deeply purposeful, and warms my heart, too. I received more than 1200 Five Star reviews in my 3000 GoGoKid classes. I have many fun songs, props, and ideas, but also, a strong grasp of morphology, to unlock vocabulary at every learning level. I am also a fine, engaged listener, and a compassionate wellspring of encouragement.

About the lesson

We can use Reading Explorer from National Geographic- and when the weather's brighter, we can pick out field trips, using Zoom Remote, based near beautiful Boulder, Colorado! I can help young college students, as well as little children learning their first shapes and letters. I made a lot of beautiful connections with my spontaneity and reliability, as well as my compassion and creative approach to ESL material. I want to find out what you would like to learn, so we can explore that knowledge, together! I am the ultimate study buddy.

I have known Cecil since 1995. We met at The University of Alabama. Cecil is a great teacher because in college he was a good student. This, combined with his childlike spirit and friends from all over the world, enable him to figure out the best way to tutor anyone.
