About Kristen
I believe one of my strengths as an educator is to build relationships and connect with students. I care about the whole child and enjoy getting to know who they are inside the classroom and out. I have taught many different reading curriculums and have learned what works best for students. I have many different ways of teaching concepts and skills depending on your child's learning style.

I have a wealth of knowledge in developing young readers. I use a hands-on approach to engage your child. I will first assess to see where the best place is to start. I use computer programs as well as manipulatives and rich literature to build foundational skills as well as fluency and comprehension. I believe the most important aspect is that I can connect with your child and build a relationship so that we can get to know one another. This will ensure that the time spent together feels comfortable and safe. It is important that the student enjoys coming to see me and sees learning as interesting and fun.
