About Isabella

Hi! I'm Isabella Wang and I'm currently studying A Levels. I'm offering maths tutoring for students up to GCSE level.
I achieved grade 9 in both Maths and Further Maths at GCSE, and I'm now continuing to study Maths and Further Maths at A Level. I'm passionate about helping students understand maths clearly and build confidence in the subject.
I also have experience helping others with maths, including supporting students during maths lessons and tutoring them with topics they find challenging. This has helped me develop clear ways of explaining difficult concepts and adapting my explanations to suit different learning styles.

About the lesson

I am a dedicated, patient, and supportive maths tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence and develop a strong understanding of mathematics. I believe that every student can succeed in maths with the right guidance and encouragement, and I aim to create a positive and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring new ideas. My goal is to make maths feel more approachable by breaking down difficult concepts into clear, simple steps and explaining them in a way that makes sense to each individual student.
My lessons are designed to support students with whatever they need help with in their studies. During our sessions, I take the time to explain topics that students may be struggling with and ensure they fully understand the concepts before moving on. I am happy to help with homework, go through challenging questions step-by-step, and clarify anything that may be confusing. Students are always encouraged to ask questions, and I make sure lessons move at a pace that suits them.
In addition to helping with current schoolwork, I provide practice questions that students can complete in their own time to reinforce their understanding and build confidence. Practice is an important part of improving in maths, so I aim to give students a range of questions that help them strengthen their skills and apply what they have learnt.
I also work through exam-style questions and past papers with students, helping them develop strong problem-solving strategies and become more confident when approaching exams. This allows students to become familiar with the types of questions they may encounter while also improving their exam technique and time management.
My teaching approach is flexible and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether a student wants to revise specific topics, prepare for upcoming exams, improve their problem-solving skills, or simply build a stronger foundation in maths, I am happy to adapt lessons to focus on what will benefit them the most. My aim is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to help them gain confidence and develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for maths.
