About Jasper
I am highly dedicated to my oil painting practice and as a practicing artist. I am very knowledgeable on the techniques of the entire oil painting process. I am a college age student which I hope is not intimidating for any age range of students. I am patient and willing to work with any range of abilities.

About the lesson

The approach to the lessons will depend on the experience level of the student. Firstly, I will make sure the student is comfortable and or learns accurate siting techniques.
Week 1- monochromatic underpainting
Week 2- value painting (grisaille)
Week 3- direct painting study with basic color introduction
Week 4- grisaille and glazing, master copy
These 4 methods are the main underpinnings of all oil paintings. They will serve as a great introduction to the oil painting medium as well as give you the skills to execute any painting in the future. Each lesson will vary how long is required to grasp the full understanding of each idea. It may be required For a student to take multiple weeks on some of the methods.
This knowledge comes directly from the university college education. The processes we will cover are nearly identical to how a college intro painting course is set up. These lessons will give you 1 on 1 help and guidance to becoming an oil painter. I am in my final year attaining a BFA for painting at a nationally accredited university.
