About Ali
I am a student at Loreto College Manchester in year 12 studying physics, chemistry, maths and further maths. I remember sitting both my 11+ and GCSE exams (which wasn't all that long ago) and the preparation for both being really unsettling, I feel the same about starting my A-levels. In year 10, I was failing 3 of my GCSEs with the others not looking so great either and came out of that with 10 GCSEs at grade 8/9 (with a 6 in French). I believe that anyone can significantly improve their grades but this is only possible through starting at the right time and putting in all your effort to see the results you want to see, and I believe I can help guide you through this, having completed my GCSEs only this year. I also have experience in mentoring 11+ students, of which all have passed and granted entry into their school of choice.

I focus on exam technique and efficiency as these skills can often be more useful than just memorising content, which is also why I encourage fully understanding topics and putting in 100% of your effort to bring students' grades up whether they begin failing or want a higher grade. Lessons will typically last an hour, however, this is flexible and can change depending on the circumstances. Lessons will also usually occur on weekends (this is also not 100%) and will be for students from 11+, KS3 and GCSE levels. I can do small classes however rest assured these classes will be of students learning the same thing, rather than a mix of different ages and requirements as to provide everyone with the same attention they need.
