In my RLS (Real Life Situations) lesson as an 18-year-old senior in high school, I explored the importance of foundational education by revisiting Kindergarten through 6th grade work. This experience helped me appreciate how early learning builds the essential skills for lifelong development, including reading, writing, math, and critical thinking. Teaching or reviewing this material reminded me of how much growth occurs from those early stages to high school. It also emphasized patience, adaptability, and empathy when working with younger students. Overall, it was a meaningful reflection on how far I’ve come and how learning is a continuous journey.
