About Edwin
I have studied in Yale-NUS College (Singapore) and Yale University where I was allowed to learn for learning's sake. I thoroughly enjoyed courses such as Linear Algebra, Astrophysics, and Neuroscience.
I benefited from enthusiastic and passionate professors and I want to share my passion with students in the same way!

Putting intention at the forefront. This is what a lesson with me basically looks like.
It can be student-driven:
1. Student asks questions on school.
2. We go through the question, but also think about the steps to solve similar questions (pattern recognition).
3. Real-life examples or awesome visualisations will be used to make it stick!
It can be tutor-driven:
1. Intention. We start from a problem, e.g. measuring the height of a pyramid without being able to climb it.
2. Intuition. Students will brainstorm ways to approach the problem.
3. Insight. With guidance if necessary, students will arrive at the insight themselves (instead of being force-fed)
4. Internalise. You've learned how to do a cool kick. But we need to practise it to perfection.
5. Innovate. Hey, math isn't just about solving questions. How about creating your own question? What does the frontier of this topic look like?
