About Aakifah

My passion for Law began in College, from which i decided I wanted to pursue a career in Law. I graduated from the University of Salford with a 2:1 in Law (LLB Hons). I then went on to study the LPC (solicitors) at BPP Law School which I have recently completed (2020) with over 70+ marks in the majority of the modules!

In my spare time I love to read and bake... and of course research on the areas of law which I'm most interested in!

About the lesson

Recent LPC graduate ready to help another student with their LPC. I’m here to answer all your questions and queries you have and of course give lessons on all modules within the Legal Practice Course.
I have successfully completed, Business Law and Practice, Property Law and Practice, Litigation which consists of both Civil and Criminal. I chose 3 modules for my electives that I was most interested in studying and someday practice as a qualified solicitor: Medical negligence and Personal Injury, Private Acquisitions and Commercial and Intellectual Property. My favourite module out of them all was Property Law and Medical negligence and Personal injury!!
I have also been awarded up to 80 Marks for my solicitor’s accounts and PCR exams which is defiantly very rewarding, not to forget, I am also ‘competent’ in all other skills assessments for example, Interviewing and advising, advocacy, Legal Writing and Research.

My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. My teaching approach varies depending on the students’ needs and learning style. However, my teaching method is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using examples where possible. I can start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas. I use questions and examples to check understanding continually, I will also provide model answers where possible and I am also happy to provide hard copies and online copies of booklets and revision consolidation guides that I received when I was studying the LPC! This was the best from of practice to ensure students are able to answer all the different types of questions that they could be examined on.

Tutoring will be one-one and will take place online via Skype/Teams ( whatever software is easier for the student). I am also happy to respond to emails/messages outside of the tutoring hour(s) when in an emergency!
