About Isobel

Years worth of studying rhetoric and writing essays leaves me well equipped to teach all sections of the LSAT. I wrote my test in August 2022 and scored in the 98th percentile, a 173. I graduated on the Dean's list and as the top undergraduate history student from my Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree. While I have years of experience as a tutor, I had the distinct pleasure of being the course instructor for UBC Law's LSAT prep course for Black and Indigenous students, teaching students all across Canada in 2024. While I have my own curriculum, I am happy to meet people wherever they are and I enjoy tailoring my tutoring to meet specific goals for students. I also have experience tutoring students that have learning disabilities and have neurodivergent learning styles. I am also available to tutor essay writing and history at both high school and university levels.

About the lesson

Learning is most effective when it is engaging and interesting, and I try to approach the LSAT as a puzzle to be solved together.

I offer personalized study plans and use proven strategies for tackling each section of the LSAT. I encourage my students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and I develop the most time effective strategy for studying from that information.

I aim to teach the fundamental principles underlying the LSAT, and this often includes content about formal logic and rhetoric. I am also familiar with the LSAT as a former test-taker but also as a professional instructor, which allows me to teach students how to learn tips and tricks that are unique to the LSAT.

My professional experience teaching the LSAT and my own personal passion for education allow me to help students reach their goals effectively and efficiently.
