About Daichi
I'm Daichi, an incoming Geography student at the London School of Economics, one of the UK's leading universities for social sciences. I achieved A*A*A* at A-level, including an A* in Economics, and have a genuine, sustained interest in the subject beyond exam requirements. I bring patience, clarity, and a structured approach to every lesson, tailored to help you reach your target grade with confidence.
Many people describe A-levels as the hardest stretch of their academic lives — my aim is to make your journey as smooth as possible, helping you reach your goals through a process that's consistent, efficient, and genuinely enjoyable. Helping you get there — however you define success — is what I find most rewarding.

My approach centres on applying economic theory to real-world examples — connecting textbook models to what's actually happening in markets — before testing understanding through timed past-paper practice (completed in-between our sessions) and structured, specific feedback on technique which will be the main focus at the beginning of each session. Lessons typically run one hour, tailored to your target grade, whether that's building strong AS foundations or refining A2 essay structure and exam technique.
I specialise exclusively in Edexcel A Economics, covering all four themes in depth. My experience includes teaching economics informally for years — regularly helping classmates grasp difficult concepts while consistently top of my class — plus five structured lessons with Year 8 students, exploring the housing crisis through a socio-economic lens and evaluating government policy responses. I was also shortlisted in the John Locke Institute's Global Essay Competition for a comparative piece on free-market, command, and mixed economies, and entered Cambridge's Caius Explore Land Economy Essay Competition, writing on policy approaches to reducing car dependency — sharpening my ability to evaluate real-world economic policy, both academically and practically, which I bring directly into lessons.
Lessons are suited to AS and A2 Economics students, particularly those wanting to strengthen exam technique, essay structure, and real-world application alongside core content.
