About Callum
I'm Callum, a final-year LLB student at the London School of Economics, with prior training from the University of Oxford's UNIQ Summer School, where I developed advanced legal reasoning through Oxford-style mooting. I study across a broad and demanding range of legal subjects, from intellectual property and tax law to human rights and family law, and I graduated from Carmel College with A-Level grades of A* in Law, A in Spanish, and B in French.
I'm not a new tutor. I've been tutoring A-Level Law independently since 2023, creating bespoke lesson plans and case-based exercises tailored to each student's needs. My students have seen an average improvement of 15% in their exam results through structured revision strategies, analytical essay workshops, and ongoing performance tracking.
I know what examiners are looking for because I engage with that same standard of legal analysis every day in my own studies.
Beyond the classroom, I volunteer at the LSE Legal Advice Clinic, where I handle real client enquiries and assist on live appeal cases — experience that keeps my legal knowledge sharp, practical, and up to date. I've competed in the Bar Regional Mock Trial and Dame Linda Dobbs Moot Competition, where judges commended my legal arguments for originality and clarity. I've also conducted international legal research with the LSE Grimshaw Society across multiple jurisdictions.
I tutor A-Level Law, LNAT preparation, law school personal statements and interview technique, and undergraduate-level legal skills, including essay writing and exam technique. I'm fluent in English and Spanish, with working proficiency in French, so I'm also happy to support students working in those languages.
I'm DBS certified, highly organised, and genuinely invested in helping every student reach their potential. If you're serious about achieving top results, I'd be glad to work with you.

Hi, I'm Callum, a current LLB student at the London School of Economics, one of the top law schools in the UK. I offer tutoring in Law, LNAT preparation, legal reasoning, and academic essay writing for students ranging from A-Level through to undergraduate level.
I specialise in helping students develop the analytical and argumentative skills that examiners actually reward. Whether you're preparing for the LNAT, tackling A-Level Law, working on university law essays, or putting together a competitive personal statement for law school applications, I can help you build confidence and sharpen your technique.
I believe the best tutoring makes difficult ideas feel intuitive. My approach starts with breaking down complex legal concepts using clear, relatable analogies before building up to the level of critical analysis expected at your stage. For essay-based work, I focus on thesis clarity, structured argumentation, and engaging with counterarguments — the things that separate a good answer from a great one. Every session is tailored to your goals, whether that's mastering a specific topic, improving exam technique, or gaining the confidence to participate in seminars.
Sessions are usually one hour, though I'm flexible depending on what we're working on. A typical lesson might involve working through a problem question together, reviewing and improving a draft essay, or targeted practice on LNAT-style reasoning exercises — always with clear takeaways you can apply independently afterwards.
I tutor A-Level students, LNAT candidates, and current undergraduates studying law. I'm also happy to help sixth formers with law school personal statements and interview preparation.

I have known Callum for several years through our academic and professional circles, and throughout that time I have consistently been struck by the clarity of his thinking and his genuine commitment to legal education. Although I have not been taught by him personally, I have seen firsthand the depth of his legal knowledge and the care he takes in explaining complex concepts to others.
Callum is the kind of tutor who does not simply recite the law, but ensures that students understand its structure, rationale, and practical application. He has an exceptional ability to break down intricate areas—whether doctrinal analysis, problem questions, or essay technique- into clear, manageable components without oversimplifying the substance. What distinguishes him most is his patience and precision: he listens carefully, identifies exactly where a student’s understanding may falter, and responds with thoughtful, tailored guidance.
I have watched him help peers refine their legal arguments, strengthen their analytical writing, and approach exams with far greater confidence. He places strong emphasis not only on knowledge acquisition but on developing critical thinking and structured reasoning-skills essential for success in law. His feedback is constructive, rigorous, and always encouraging.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Callum to any student seeking a law tutor who combines intellectual depth with approachability and professionalism. He is reliable, articulate, and genuinely invested in his students’ progress. Any student working with him will benefit not only from his expertise, but from his integrity and enthusiasm for the subject.
I've known Callum since first year at LSE and he's one of those people who just gets legal concepts on a deeper level than most. What makes him different from other smart students is that he can actually explain things clearly. He broke down the entire law of trusts for me before our exam in a way that finally made it click, after weeks of lectures hadn't. He has a real talent for stripping complicated ideas back to basics and then building them up again so you actually understand the reasoning, not just the rule.
He's also incredibly well-organised and reliable. When he says he'll prepare something, he does, and it's always thorough. I've seen him help other students on our course with essay structure and exam technique and every single one of them came away feeling more confident. He genuinely cares about people understanding the material, not just getting through it.
If you're looking for someone who knows the law inside out, can communicate it in a way that makes sense, and will put real effort into helping you improve, I'd recommend Callum without hesitation. You'll be in very good hands.View more recommendations
