Paul is a great coach - very knowledgeable, very dedicated, and a great can-do attitude. He breaks down tennis techniques into easy to execute exercises that makes learning tennis a walk in the park. If you’re a tennis beginner, Paul is the coach for you!
Paul’s actually sick at coaching. He doesn’t just yell at you when you mess up, he actually tells you what you’re doing wrong and how to fix it. He’s chill and makes it fun so you don’t dread going to lessons. He gets annoyed when you’re not trying but he’s not like, unnecessarily harsh about it. Genuinely helped me improve loads in a short time. Would recommend if you want a coach who actually knows what he’s doing and won’t make you hate tennis.
Paul’s a really great coach. He actually listens to what you want to work on instead of just running through the same drills with everyone. I came in pretty rusty and was worried I’d be left behind, but he has this way of making things click without making you feel bad about your level. He’s patient, gives practical feedback you can actually use, and somehow makes practice feel less like a chore. Plus he genuinely seems to enjoy what he does, which makes a difference. Would definitely book with him again.
Paul is an excellent tennis instructor who combines technical expertise with genuine patience and encouragement. He has a clear ability to break down complex techniques into manageable steps, making improvement feel achievable even for beginners. What stands out most is his personalized approach, he takes time to understand each student’s goals and adjusts his coaching accordingly. Whether you’re looking to refine your serve or build confidence on the court, Paul creates a supportive environment where you can actually enjoy learning. Highly recommended.
I have known Paul for over 10 years through our work in finance. I've had the opportunity to see him tutor my niece in economics, and I wholeheartedly recommend him for his wide knowledge in the subject and his teaching methods. He can explain complex concepts in economics by reference to real-world situations and examples. My niece needed someone with patience and a clear and calm manner, and she flourished in the facilitating learning environment that Paul created. He truly knows his subjects and how to make them accessible to young people.
I have known Paul for 39 years, and he is gentle and, I am sure, a good teacher and considerate. He has a son, so he is used to dealing with children and has been in education for a while after a career in the City.
Sharon Dodgson (ex-fund manager)Paul has been an inspirational mentor for my son, Jack.
Paul previously worked in the City in both London and the Far East and brings a wealth of experience to his lessons.
As a parent himself of a teenage son, he relates really well to young people.
Jack found him fun, caring and motivating and I would highly recommend him to anyone lucky enough to book him as a tutor.
I've been working with Paul for the past 6 years and highly recommend him for anyone looking to master Economics. Having a teacher with his extensive history in financial markets makes a world of difference; he doesn't just teach theory, he brings in real world experience that makes complex topics easy to grasp. His calm and patient demeanor creates a perfect learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions. He is truly an amazing tutor who knows his subject inside and out.
