About Lynda
Over the years I have delivered Special Education services to students in grades 1-8. I have supervised Teaching Assistants. I have consulted and collaborated with regular classroom teachers
to provide modifications and accommodations within the classroom.
I have also done private tutoring to children using Horizons Reading Program.
I can provide references upon request.

I use Corrective Reading Decoding Strategies. This is how it works: Word Attack skills are refined and applied to more sound-spelling patterns and difficult words. Those skills are applied in stories designed to correct mistakes that the poor reader usually makes.s
Students are introduced to new words and word types, phonemic
relationships, long and short vowel sounds, new sound combinations and new word endings.
What sets me apart is that my students succeed easily and become confident readers due to DI.
The lessons are for students in grades 1-6 who are in regular education and Special Ed.
